Sometimes, it takes just a single track for an artist to break through. For Artemas, that track is I Like the Way You Kiss Me, an unstoppable 2024 hit that soared to the top of the charts in an incredible number of countries. But, dig deeper and it becomes clear that success didn’t arrive overnight. The singer, producer and songwriter began his career in 2020, releasing a series of singles and mixtapes. Now 25 years old, Artemas Diamandis (whose stage name is simply his first name) grew up near Oxford in an Anglo-Cypriot family. This exceptionally talented self-taught artist specializes in what the media calls “alternative pop”, a somewhat vague term used to encompass his wide range of influences, from guitar-driven rock to contemporary R&B in the vein of Frank Ocean.
