It’s been too long since these veterans of the British scene last played Rock en Seine in 2015. Masters of soaring melodies and electrifying guitars, the Welsh rockers have always forged their own path, standing apart from the Britpop movement and resisting fleeting trends. Time has proved them right, as they’ve avoided the break-up-and-reunion cycle that has shaken so many 90s bands. At the helm, Kelly Jones (vocals, guitar) and Richard Jones (bass) – who, despite their shared surname, aren’t related – continue to release albums at a steady pace, staying true to the level of songwriting that defined their early hits, all carried by that unmistakable proudly husky voice.
