The Rock en Seine festival has always been held in the majestic setting of the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, just outside Paris
Located west of Paris in the Hauts-de-Seine department, the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud is a 460-hectare park classified as a historic monument.
Since the end of the 16th century, the estate’s history has been associated with numerous personalities: Catherine de Médicis, Henri III who was assassinated there, Henri IV who was appointed king, Louis XIV who embellished the château and its gardens with the help of Le Nôtre, Louis XVI who gave it to Marie-Antoinette, Napoleon I and III who were proclaimed emperors.
Although the château was dismantled in 1892, its legacy lives on through its gardens and various relics scattered around the world. Over the years, the site has been transformed into a cultural stage, hosting a variety of events, including the Rock en Seine festival, which continues the site’s festive tradition.
